# AreluxSmart vs TBESS

The clearest difference is update cadence: TBESS at every 3 months against AreluxSmart's every 11 months. AreluxSmart's advantage is iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

AreluxSmart ships an update every 11 months, TBESS every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
