# Smart vs AFS

The clearest difference is update cadence: AFS at every 2 months against Smart's every 5 months. Smart's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Smart ships an update every 5 months, AFS every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
