# MMVPN vs NextVPN

The clearest difference is ratings volume: NextVPN at 45K against MMVPN's 107. NextVPN also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks) and chart position (#17 vs #149). MMVPN's advantage is review sentiment (88% vs 67%) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MMVPN sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and NextVPN sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.49 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

NextVPN holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NextVPN has 45K ratings behind it against 107, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 88% of MMVPN's written reviews are positive against 67% of NextVPN's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MMVPN ships an update every 3 weeks, NextVPN weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
