# Lunatask vs FirstSeed Notes

The clearest difference is rating: FirstSeed Notes at 5.0 against Lunatask's 4.4. Lunatask's advantage is ratings volume (99 vs 1) and iOS requirement (16.4 vs 26.0). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lunatask sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $8.00 per month and FirstSeed Notes sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FirstSeed Notes holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lunatask has 99 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 76% and 75% positive.

Lunatask ships an update every 2 weeks, FirstSeed Notes fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
