# XTREAM IPTV vs CATV

The clearest difference is rating: CATV at 5.0 against XTREAM IPTV's 4.4. CATV also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 10) and ads (none vs shown). XTREAM IPTV's advantage is ratings volume (1K vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. XTREAM IPTV sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. CATV asks for nothing beyond the download.

CATV holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: XTREAM IPTV has 1K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

XTREAM IPTV ships an update every 3 weeks, CATV every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
