# InviCam vs Black Screen Video Camera

The clearest difference is rating: InviCam at 4.5 against Black Screen Video Camera's 3.7. InviCam also leads on ratings volume (268 vs 34). Black Screen Video Camera's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 3 weeks) and review sentiment (20% vs 12%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. InviCam sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Black Screen Video Camera sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

InviCam holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: InviCam has 268 ratings behind it against 34, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 12% of InviCam's written reviews are positive against 20% of Black Screen Video Camera's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

InviCam ships an update every 3 weeks, Black Screen Video Camera every 3 days. Both last shipped on October 25, 2026.
