# InviCam vs Black Screen Camera

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Black Screen Camera at 100% against InviCam's 12%. Black Screen Camera also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 7). InviCam's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 3.8) and ratings volume (269 vs 4). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. InviCam sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Black Screen Camera asks for nothing beyond the download.

InviCam holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: InviCam has 269 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 12% of InviCam's written reviews are positive against 100% of Black Screen Camera's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

InviCam ships an update every 3 weeks, Black Screen Camera every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
