# Sekyo vs Kapston

The clearest difference is rating: Sekyo at 2.1 against Kapston's 1.0. Sekyo also leads on ratings volume (7 vs 1). Kapston's advantage is review sentiment (64% vs 25%) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 4 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Sekyo holds the better App Store score, 2.1 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sekyo has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of Sekyo's written reviews are positive against 64% of Kapston's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Sekyo ships an update every 4 months, Kapston every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
