# Source & Cast vs BeScene

The clearest difference is rating: Source & Cast at 4.7 against BeScene's 3.7. Source & Cast also leads on ratings volume (838 vs 61). BeScene's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 5 weeks) and review sentiment (50% vs 38%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Source & Cast sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and BeScene sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Source & Cast holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Source & Cast has 838 ratings behind it against 61, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 38% of Source & Cast's written reviews are positive against 50% of BeScene's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Source & Cast ships an update every 5 weeks, BeScene weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
