# 2Camera Dual Camera Recorder vs Local Video

The clearest difference is review sentiment: 2Camera Dual Camera Recorder at 79% against Local Video's 50%. 2Camera Dual Camera Recorder also leads on ratings volume (409 vs 5) and update cadence (every 6 days vs fortnightly). Local Video's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 2Camera Dual Camera Recorder sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Local Video sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Local Video holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 2Camera Dual Camera Recorder has 409 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 79% of 2Camera Dual Camera Recorder's written reviews are positive against 50% of Local Video's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

2Camera Dual Camera Recorder ships an update every 6 days, Local Video fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
