# ITL SMS vs ModPhone

The clearest difference is update cadence: ModPhone at every 2 weeks against ITL SMS's every 14 months. ITL SMS's advantage is iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ITL SMS ships an update every 14 months, ModPhone every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
