# Sunshine Online vs Mathseeds

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Sunshine Online at none against Mathseeds's 4. Sunshine Online also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 2 months). Mathseeds's advantage is ratings volume (253 vs 1) and review sentiment (46% vs 22%). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mathseeds sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Sunshine Online asks for nothing beyond the download.

Sunshine Online holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mathseeds has 253 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 22% of Sunshine Online's written reviews are positive against 46% of Mathseeds's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Sunshine Online ships an update every 5 weeks, Mathseeds every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
