# Vimlike vs Vimkey

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Vimlike at none against Vimkey's 4. Vimlike also leads on ratings volume (30 vs 5). Vimkey's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Vimkey sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Vimlike asks for nothing beyond the download.

Vimkey holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Vimlike has 30 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 86% of Vimlike's written reviews are positive against 88% of Vimkey's.

Vimlike ships an update every 2 months, Vimkey every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and September 19, 2026 respectively.
