# Stereogram Game vs Words & Books

The clearest difference is rating: Words & Books at 4.7 against Stereogram Game's 3.6. Words & Books also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (378 vs 22). Stereogram Game's advantage is review sentiment (56% vs 40%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Stereogram Game sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and Words & Books sells 18 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Words & Books holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Words & Books has 378 ratings behind it against 22, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 56% of Stereogram Game's written reviews are positive against 40% of Words & Books's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Stereogram Game ships an update every 3 months, Words & Books every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
