# VTPrep vs Visible Cat

The clearest difference is rating: VTPrep at 4.6 against Visible Cat's 1.0. VTPrep also leads on ratings volume (207 vs 1). Visible Cat's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VTPrep sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $24.99 per month and Visible Cat sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

VTPrep holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VTPrep has 207 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

VTPrep ships an update every 3 months, Visible Cat every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
