# SliceTimeCam vs Matte Viewer

The clearest difference is update cadence: SliceTimeCam at weekly against Matte Viewer's monthly. SliceTimeCam also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SliceTimeCam sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Matte Viewer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SliceTimeCam ships an update weekly, Matte Viewer monthly. The most recent releases landed on September 26, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
