# Hack Ex 2 vs hackSociety

The clearest difference is ads: hackSociety at none against Hack Ex 2's shown. hackSociety also leads on review sentiment (60% vs 48%). Hack Ex 2's advantage is rating (4.3 vs 3.9) and update cadence (every 6 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hack Ex 2 sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and hackSociety sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Hack Ex 2 holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hack Ex 2 has 83 ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 48% of Hack Ex 2's written reviews are positive against 60% of hackSociety's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Hack Ex 2 ships an update every 6 days, hackSociety every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and September 19, 2026 respectively.
