# MATE VPN vs Secure Proxy

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Secure Proxy at none against MATE VPN's 19. Secure Proxy also leads on review sentiment (93% vs 78%) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). MATE VPN's advantage is ratings volume (8.6K vs 208). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MATE VPN sells 18 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Secure Proxy asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.4 for MATE VPN against 4.5 for Secure Proxy.
