# PayClock vs Timerack

The clearest difference is monetization model: PayClock at freemium against Timerack's subscription. PayClock also leads on review sentiment (9% vs 0%). Timerack's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 months) and rating (2.5 vs 2.1). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Timerack holds the better App Store score, 2.5 against 2.1. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 54 and 24 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 9% of PayClock's written reviews are positive against 0% of Timerack's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

PayClock ships an update every 6 months, Timerack every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and September 15, 2026 respectively.
