# Remortal vs Banning

The clearest difference is rating: Banning at 5.0 against Remortal's 4.1. Banning also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 8) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.6). Remortal's advantage is ratings volume (9 vs 1) and update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Remortal sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Banning asks for nothing beyond the download.

Banning holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Remortal has 9 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Remortal ships an update fortnightly, Banning monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
