# Cucumber Timer vs Times

The clearest difference is update cadence: Cucumber Timer at every 9 days against Times's every 2 months. Cucumber Timer also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cucumber Timer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Times sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Cucumber Timer ships an update every 9 days, Times every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
