# Camect Viewer vs Uplink Security

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Camect Viewer at 100% against Uplink Security's 33%. Camect Viewer also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 6 months) and iOS requirement (12.1 vs 17.0). Uplink Security's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (103 vs 6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Uplink Security holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Uplink Security has 103 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Camect Viewer's written reviews are positive against 33% of Uplink Security's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Camect Viewer ships an update every 2 months, Uplink Security every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on September 2, 2026 and September 21, 2026 respectively.
