# Booky Call vs OBC Reader

The clearest difference is rating: Booky Call at 4.1 against OBC Reader's 2.8. Booky Call also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (65 vs 12). OBC Reader's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (78% vs 61%). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Booky Call holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Booky Call has 65 ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 61% of Booky Call's written reviews are positive against 78% of OBC Reader's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Booky Call ships an update every 3 weeks, OBC Reader every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
