# ことまる vs 色辞典

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: 色辞典 at none against ことまる's 1. 色辞典 also leads on ads (none vs shown). ことまる's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 7 months). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ことまる sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. 色辞典 asks for nothing beyond the download.

ことまる ships an update every 2 months, 色辞典 every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
