# X Icon Changer vs Mimicly

The clearest difference is rating: X Icon Changer at 4.5 against Mimicly's 3.7. X Icon Changer also leads on ratings volume (6.1K vs 3) and chart position (#179 vs unranked). Mimicly's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (100% vs 69%). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. X Icon Changer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Mimicly sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

X Icon Changer holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: X Icon Changer has 6.1K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 69% of X Icon Changer's written reviews are positive against 100% of Mimicly's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

X Icon Changer ships an update every 3 weeks, Mimicly every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
