# Shadow vs APART

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Shadow at 44 against APART's 4. Shadow also leads on iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17.6). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Shadow against 5.0 for APART. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Shadow has 44 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
