# Shadow vs Magic Campus

The clearest difference is update cadence: Magic Campus at every 3 days against Shadow's fortnightly. Shadow's advantage is ratings volume (41 vs 2) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Shadow against 5.0 for Magic Campus. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Shadow has 41 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Shadow ships an update fortnightly, Magic Campus every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and September 24, 2026 respectively.
