# Remote Camera Trigger vs MCRC

The clearest difference is update cadence: MCRC at every 3 days against Remote Camera Trigger's every 3 months. Remote Camera Trigger's advantage is iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Remote Camera Trigger sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and MCRC sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Remote Camera Trigger ships an update every 3 months, MCRC every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
