# MaddCards vs Kyro

The clearest difference is ads: MaddCards at none against Kyro's shown. MaddCards also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 14 months) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Kyro's advantage is ratings volume (24 vs 1). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for MaddCards against 4.9 for Kyro. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Kyro has 24 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

MaddCards ships an update every 3 weeks, Kyro every 14 months. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
