# EMT B Prep vs EMT Mastery

The clearest difference is monetization model: EMT B Prep at free with in-app purchases against EMT Mastery's subscription. EMT B Prep also leads on ratings volume (16 vs 1) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.0). EMT Mastery's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 7 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. EMT B Prep sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $7.49 per 3 months and EMT Mastery sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for EMT B Prep against 5.0 for EMT Mastery. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: EMT B Prep has 16 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

EMT B Prep ships an update every 7 months, EMT Mastery every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
