# FORMAT Fitness vs Classd

The clearest difference is monetization model: Classd at free against FORMAT Fitness's free with in-app purchases. Classd also leads on device support (3 vs 1). FORMAT Fitness's advantage is ratings volume (177 vs 1). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for FORMAT Fitness against 5.0 for Classd. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FORMAT Fitness has 177 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
