# Meshtastic vs Horolog

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Meshtastic at 44% against Horolog's 0%. Meshtastic also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 3) and ratings volume (824 vs 21). Horolog's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.1) and update cadence (every 2 days vs every 10 days). On price, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Horolog sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Meshtastic asks for nothing beyond the download.

Horolog holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Meshtastic has 824 ratings behind it against 21, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 44% of Meshtastic's written reviews are positive against 0% of Horolog's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Meshtastic ships an update every 10 days, Horolog every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
