# MNGA vs NGA Plus

The clearest difference is update cadence: NGA Plus at every 2 days against MNGA's every 5 weeks. NGA Plus also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). MNGA's advantage is ratings volume (92 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MNGA sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and NGA Plus sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

NGA Plus holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MNGA has 92 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

MNGA ships an update every 5 weeks, NGA Plus every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
