# GlowStone Lighting Plus vs DSC Connect

The clearest difference is rating: DSC Connect at 4.7 against GlowStone Lighting Plus's 3.0. DSC Connect also leads on ratings volume (272 vs 2). GlowStone Lighting Plus's advantage is review sentiment (28% vs 17%) and iOS requirement (13.4 vs 17.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

DSC Connect holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DSC Connect has 272 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 28% of GlowStone Lighting Plus's written reviews are positive against 17% of DSC Connect's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

GlowStone Lighting Plus ships an update every 2 months, DSC Connect monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
