# FSF NYC vs ESNTL LAB

The clearest difference is ratings volume: FSF NYC at 4.2K against ESNTL LAB's 400. ESNTL LAB's advantage is update cadence (every 3 months vs every 7 months). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for FSF NYC against 4.7 for ESNTL LAB. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FSF NYC has 4.2K ratings behind it against 400, so its average is the more settled of the two.
