# Level Up Runner vs Spank Runner

The clearest difference is rating: Level Up Runner at 4.6 against Spank Runner's 3.8. Level Up Runner also leads on ratings volume (33K vs 20) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). Spank Runner's advantage is iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Level Up Runner sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and Spank Runner sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Level Up Runner holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Level Up Runner has 33K ratings behind it against 20, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 42% of Level Up Runner's written reviews are positive against 50% of Spank Runner's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Level Up Runner ships an update every 3 weeks, Spank Runner every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
