# Level Up Runner vs Mr Hero

The clearest difference is monetization model: Level Up Runner at free with in-app purchases against Mr Hero's subscription. Level Up Runner also leads on ratings volume (33K vs 4.5K). Mr Hero's advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 42%) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Level Up Runner sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and Mr Hero sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Level Up Runner against 4.7 for Mr Hero. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Level Up Runner has 33K ratings behind it against 4.5K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 42% of Level Up Runner's written reviews are positive against 67% of Mr Hero's.
