# Darksy vs gif maker++

The clearest difference is review sentiment: gif maker++ at 100% against Darksy's 22%. gif maker++ also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 13) and iOS requirement (13.4 vs 16.0). Darksy's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 3.0) and ratings volume (6.7K vs 2). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Darksy sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. gif maker++ asks for nothing beyond the download.

Darksy holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Darksy has 6.7K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 22% of Darksy's written reviews are positive against 100% of gif maker++'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Darksy ships an update every 2 weeks, gif maker++ every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
