# Scrubstr vs waxpal.

Scrubstr and waxpal. both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 90% of Scrubstr's written reviews are positive against 35% of waxpal.'s. waxpal.'s advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs monthly) and ratings volume (228 vs 28). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

waxpal. holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: waxpal. has 228 ratings behind it against 28, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 90% of Scrubstr's written reviews are positive against 35% of waxpal.'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Scrubstr ships an update monthly, waxpal. every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
