# PRO QR Code Scanner vs Scan Now

The clearest difference is rating: Scan Now at 4.8 against PRO QR Code Scanner's 4.5. Scan Now also leads on review sentiment (60% vs 46%) and chart position (#63 vs unranked). PRO QR Code Scanner's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 weeks) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PRO QR Code Scanner sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Scan Now sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $7.95 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Scan Now holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Scan Now has 2K ratings behind it against 378, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 46% of PRO QR Code Scanner's written reviews are positive against 60% of Scan Now's.

PRO QR Code Scanner ships an update every 9 days, Scan Now every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
