# Luminotes vs Takt

The clearest difference is update cadence: Takt at every 2 days against Luminotes's every 2 weeks. Luminotes's advantage is iOS requirement (12.4 vs 18.5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Luminotes sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Takt sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Luminotes ships an update every 2 weeks, Takt every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
