# Romanova vs Talkpal

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Romanova at none against Talkpal's 3. Romanova also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Talkpal's advantage is ratings volume (3.9K vs 1) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Talkpal sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month. Romanova asks for nothing beyond the download.
