# ProField OnSite vs VPN Security

The clearest difference is rating: VPN Security at 4.4 against ProField OnSite's 1.0. VPN Security also leads on ratings volume (1.2K vs 2) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months). ProField OnSite's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN Security sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per 7 days. ProField OnSite asks for nothing beyond the download.

VPN Security holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VPN Security has 1.2K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

ProField OnSite ships an update every 3 months, VPN Security fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
