# Masterbuilt vs ReelBites

The clearest difference is update cadence: ReelBites at every 10 days against Masterbuilt's every 3 months. ReelBites also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Masterbuilt's advantage is ratings volume (12K vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ReelBites holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Masterbuilt has 12K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Masterbuilt ships an update every 3 months, ReelBites every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
