# iTheme vs Widgets Flow

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Widgets Flow at 238 against iTheme's 21. Widgets Flow also leads on monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). iTheme's advantage is iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17.2). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. iTheme sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and Widgets Flow sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for iTheme against 4.7 for Widgets Flow. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Widgets Flow has 238 ratings behind it against 21, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 80% of iTheme's written reviews are positive against 83% of Widgets Flow's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
