# iTheme vs Promptlas

The clearest difference is ads: Promptlas at none against iTheme's shown. Promptlas also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs fortnightly). iTheme's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17.0). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. iTheme sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and Promptlas sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

iTheme ships an update fortnightly, Promptlas every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
