# Text Scanner OCR App vs PDF Scanner

Text Scanner OCR App and PDF Scanner both sit at 4.4 stars, but that hides the real split: 54% of Text Scanner OCR App's written reviews are positive against 25% of PDF Scanner's. Text Scanner OCR App also leads on ratings volume (115 vs 38). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Text Scanner OCR App sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and PDF Scanner sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PDF Scanner holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 115 and 38 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 54% of Text Scanner OCR App's written reviews are positive against 25% of PDF Scanner's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
