# The Setting Sun vs Blocks Sort!

The clearest difference is rating: Blocks Sort! at 4.7 against The Setting Sun's 4.0. Blocks Sort! also leads on ratings volume (19K vs 105). The Setting Sun's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (100% vs 65%). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. The Setting Sun sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Blocks Sort! sells 13 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Blocks Sort! holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Blocks Sort! has 19K ratings behind it against 105, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of The Setting Sun's written reviews are positive against 65% of Blocks Sort!'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

The Setting Sun ships an update every 9 days, Blocks Sort! every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
