# Printelves vs InstaPrint

The clearest difference is rating: Printelves at 3.0 against InstaPrint's 2.6. Printelves also leads on iOS requirement (9.0 vs 12.0). InstaPrint's advantage is ratings volume (161 vs 2) and review sentiment (19% vs 0%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Printelves holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 2.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: InstaPrint has 161 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of Printelves's written reviews are positive against 19% of InstaPrint's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Printelves ships an update every 4 months, InstaPrint every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
