# Study Stack vs Folderly

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Study Stack at none against Folderly's 11. Study Stack also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and review sentiment (100% vs 87%). Folderly's advantage is ratings volume (3.2K vs 2) and update cadence (every 3 days vs fortnightly). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Folderly sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Study Stack asks for nothing beyond the download.

Study Stack holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Folderly has 3.2K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of Study Stack's written reviews are positive against 87% of Folderly's.

Study Stack ships an update fortnightly, Folderly every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
